This "island", in the mouth of North Wash, my family has named "Anne's Island" in honor of my wife finding it with the keel of our old boat when its highest rock point was but one foot submerged. It, like many of the structural features in North Wash is an excellent structure to pass by closely with deep running cranks when it is submerged. Very often it holds stripers close in to its sides.
